Airport Instrument Flight Procedure Design for Bonriki Airport and Funafuti International Airport.

1. This Request for Expressions of Interest follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in dgMarket online 26th July 2011 and published Issue no 804, 16th August 2011 and re-advertised 30th March 2015.

2. The Government of Tuvalu and the Government of the Republic of Kiribati are currently implementing the Tuvalu Aviation Investment Project (TvAIP) and the Kiribati Aviation Investment Project (KAIP) supported by the World Bank. The projects’ implementing Entity are the Ministry of Communication and Transport, Tuvalu (MCT), and the Ministry of Communication, Transport and Tourism Development Kiribati (MCTTD) with project implementation support from the Technical and Fiduciary Services Unit (TFSU) of the Pacific Aviation Investment Program (PAIP). TvAIP and KAIP now intend to apply part of the proceeds to payments for the Contract – Consulting Services –Airport Instrument Flight Procedure Design for Bonriki Airport (TRW) and Funafuti International Airport (FUN).

This Request for Expressions of Interest follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in dgMarket online 31st March 2015.

The Government of Samoa has received a loan from the International Development Association under the Pacific Aviation Investment Program (PAIP) and it is intended to apply part of the proceeds to payments for the Contract – Consulting Services – Selection of an Individual Consultant –SAIP Project Manager

PAIP is a regional aviation project with the development objective to provide safe and secure air transport operations and environmentally sustainable and efficient airports and is being implemented in five (5) Pacific Island countries: Tonga, Tuvalu, Kiribati, Samoa and Vanuatu. The projects’ implementing Entity is Tonga Airports Ltd (TAL), who leads the projects via the TFSU “Technical and Fiduciary Services Unit”.

TFSU now seeks a SAIP Project Manager for the Samoa Aviation Investment Project (SAIP) to provide assistance to Samoa Airports Authority (SAA) for all current projects and in particular to ensure that the SAIP is implemented successfully. The full details are available here.

Objective and Purpose of the Assignment

The Government of the Republic of Vanuatu (GOV) has established a Project Management Unit to manage its Major Project Implementation Programs and Project Activities known as the Vanuatu Project Management Unit (VPMU). The entity is established within the Prime Minister’s Portfolio as the Executing Agency for the Government of Vanuatu to provide an oversight on major project implementation aimed at facilitating poverty reduction through economic growth. VPMU oversees the implementation of major projects and is seeking expressions of interest from motivated, qualified and experienced individuals who are citizens of Vanuatu for the role of a Project Manager.
