Community Sanitation Facilities - Invitation to Bid

The Vanuatu Project Management Unit (VPMU), on behalf of MIPU (the Employer) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the Construction of Community Sanitation Facilities, Port Vila, Vanuatu [PVUDP Wc-15]. The sites of works are located in the capital city of Port Vila located on Efate Island. The scope of works to be delivered under the contract includes:

  • Site clearance,
  • Earthworks and excavation for foundations,
  • Reinforced blockwork and reinforced concrete works for buildings, plus roofing, drainage, windows, and doors,
  • All other building works required by the drawings and the specification,
  • Plumbing and electrical work, and
  • Production of as-built drawings.

Bid Evaluation and Recommendation

The Port Vila Urban Development Project (PVUDP) is jointly funded by the Government of Vanuatu, Asian Development Bank, and Australian Government Department for Foreign Affairs and Trade. The Contract for which bids were invited is for the ‘Construction of Community Sanitation Facilities’. It is intended to award a single contract under National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures. 

The Works comprise the construction of a Septage treatment Facility in Port Vila, Vanuatu, and include:• Mobilisation and demobilization.

  • Site establishment and disestablishment.
  • Site clearance.
  • Earthworks for the excavation of foundations.
  • Reinforced block work and reinforced concrete works for buildings.
  • Roofing, drainage, windows, doors
  • All other building works required by the drawings and the specification.
  • Plumbing and electrical works.
  • Provision of some mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Production of as-built drawings.
  • The bidding documents adopted for the Works were prepared in accordance with the Asian Development Bank Standard Bidding Documents for the Procurement of Works -Small Contracts published March 2014.  A single envelope procedure has been used with post qualification.

Construction of a Septage Treatment Facility - Invitation to Bid

The Vanuatu Project Management Unit (VPMU), on behalf of MIPU (the Employer) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the Construction of a Septage Treatment Facility, Port Vila, Vanuatu [PVUDP Wb01-15]. The site of works is located in the capital city of Port Vila located on Efate Island. The scope of works to be delivered under the contract includes:

  •  Construction of new sludge lagoons No. 1 and No. 2, including compacted bunds, access points, and slipways,
  •  Construction of percolation pond and compacted coral base road, and
  •  Construction of associated pipework and fence for the works.

  • Building works for reception office.
  • Site access roads.
  • Provision of some mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Production of as-built drawings.

Provisions for the Rehabiliation and Improvement of George Kalsakau Drive - Invitation to Bid

The Vanuatu Project Management Unit (VPMU), on behalf of MIPU (the Employer) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the Rehabilitation and Improvement of Kalsakau Drive in Port Vila, Vanuatu {PVUDP Wa01-15]. The site of works is located the capital city of Port Vila located on Efate Island. The scope of works to be delivered under the contract includes:

  • Demolition and removal of existing pavement, footpath, & drainage structures,
  • Construction of new reinforced-concrete paved road and parking area, and kerb and channel, including coronous base-course and bedding, and
  • Construction of associated drainage works.
