The Vanuatu Tourism Infrastructure Project (VTIP) is progressing full steam with lots of movements happening all at the same time at three different stages of the works. At the Portside Precinct, Phase 1 – tourism building, installation of temporary working shed and safety station have been completed, including site clearance, leveling and excavation works - all done! The contractors are ready to set out the foundations and pour concrete for the new tourism building. At the Port Vila Seafront area, digging continues at the Seawall while pre-casting of concrete panels for the seawall and pedestrian footpaths is under way. A local supplier (Vanuatu Ready Mix) has been engaged to supply all pre-cast elements. Works are also progressing well at the Fatumaru Bay Park. See details here in both French and English.
