Provision of Shipping Services to Tafea East (SSS2A)

The Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Utilities invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of a monthly passenger and cargo shipping service from Port Vila to Aniwa, Futuna, Aneityum and specified call points on the east coasts of Erromango and Tanna. The contract period is one (1) year.

Invitation for Bids Provision of Shipping Services to Banks Islands (SS3)

The Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Utilities invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of a monthly passenger and cargo shipping service from Luganville to specified call points in the Banks Islands.  The contract period is one (1) year. 

Bids are invited from companies offering vessels that meet the following requirements: 

  • a Near Coastal or higher safety classification,
  • is certified for at least 50 passengers, 
  • has a cargo capacity of at least 50 weight tonnes or 50 cubic metres, and
  • has a minimum speed of 7 knots.

SS1 - Provision of Shipping Services to Torres 

Bids are invited from companies offering vessels that meet the following requirements:

  • a Near Coastal or higher safety classification,
  • is certified for at least 50 passengers, 
  • has a cargo capacity of at least 50 weight tonnes or 50 cubic metres, and
  • has a minimum speed of 7 knots


SS2 - Provision of Shipping Services to Tafea province 

Bids are invited only from companies with the relevant experience and sound financial standing. Bidders will be required to demonstrate in their bids that they have a vessel that: 

  • Has Near Coastal or higher safety classification;
  • Is certified for at least 50 passengers;
  • Has a minimum weight capacity of 50 tonnes and a minimum volumetric capacity of 50 cubic metres; and
  • Has a minimum speed of 7 knots.

The Vanuatu Inter-island Shipping Support Project (VISSP) is jointly funded by the Government of Vanuatu, Asian Development Bank, and New Zealand Government Department for Foreign Affairs and Trade. The Contract for which bids were invited for the ‘Construction and Rehabilitation of Wharves and Jetties in Vanuatu’. The bids were intended to award a single contract under International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures for associated works that include: 

South Paray Bay, Port Vila Efate (New reclamation with piled reinforced concrete wharf and landing craft ramp), Simonsen Wharf, Luganville (New wharf and landing craft ramp) Loltong Bay, Pentecost (New jetty), Lolowai Ambae (New jetty) Port Sandwich, Malekula (New jetty and landing craft ramp) Litzlitz, Malekula (Repairs to existing wharf); Lenakel Tanna (Repairs to existing wharf).
