Port Vila Urban Development Project (PVUDP) is funded by the Australian and Vanuatu Governments and a loan from the ADB. ADB administers the Project and the Vanuatu Government implements the project through Vanuatu Project Management Unit (VPMU). This update is the latest based on the most recent ADB Review Mission report of April 2018.
PORT VILA: Japan International Corporation Agency (JICA) President Dr. Shinichi Kitoaka was in the country this week in his first ever tour of three Pacific island countries including PNG and Solomon Islands, since taking up office in October 2015.
PORT VILA, 7th November, 2016: Plans are well underway to dredge the 50-metre-wide channel between the Southern end of Iririki shoal and the current site of the new South Paray wharf now under construction by New Zealand contractors, Hawkins Infrastructure Ltd.
